The Senior Manager, Technology Category Management leads BSP's technology sourcing and category management strategy, overseeing the procurement lifecycle for hardware, software, and services. The role focuses on driving commercial value, managing vendor partnerships, and optimizing technology spend across the enterprise.
Reports to: Head of Group Procurement & Strategic Sourcing
What you will do
- Lead the end-to-end sourcing, contracting and purchasing activities across BSP's Technology category portfolio.
- Develop and execute category strategies, sourcing pipelines and procurement plans aligned to business and technology objectives.
- Negotiate complex technology contracts, software licensing agreements, SaaS arrangements and strategic supplier engagements.
- Drive value creation through supplier negotiations, spend analysis, savings initiatives and commercial optimisation.
- Partner with Technology leaders to support technology roadmaps while ensuring strong procurement governance and compliance outcomes.
- Monitor technology vendor performance, licence compliance, contractual obligations and supplier risk management activities.
- Contribute to the strategic direction and ongoing improvement of Group Procurement & Strategic Sourcing through leadership, coaching and change advocacy.

Education: Degree or higher · Experience: 5+ years
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Supply Chain or a related discipline
- Minimum five years' experience in technology category management, IT sourcing, procurement or vendor management
- Proven experience negotiating technology contracts, including software licensing, SaaS, hardware and technology services agreements
- Strong understanding of technology sourcing practices, licensing models, vendor risk and commercial contract structures
- Demonstrated ability to influence and partner effectively with senior stakeholders
- Experience analysing spend data and delivering procurement savings and value outcomes
- Professional membership such as CIPS
- Experience within banking, financial services or another regulated environment
- Knowledge of technology licence compliance management and system development lifecycle considerations
